HOPE worldwide & NIKE partnership

Once again, Manchester United warm-up for another assault on the Premier League titlewith a tour of Asia this week, where Michael Owen will be making his debut. This time around, they will be having some special guest during their stay in Malaysia: underprivileged kids from Sentul which happened on the 24th July 09

Courtesy of Nike Malaysia's, RM 60,000 will be donated to HOPE Worldwide. The money will be used largely to fund the Football For Hope Program. Under the program, a football clinic will be established with the hope of discovering and nurturing young talents available in this country. If they are not getting proper guidance and training at the right time, no matter howsoever talented they are, they will never grow into skillful players. The football clinic will also serve as a healthy avenue for young kids, especially from the hardcore poor families, to spend their free time.

Prior to the match at Bukit Jalil Stadium, the main appetizer for all Red Devil fans was the Nike 5 Challenge, near the KLCC park. Youngsters battled it out over two days of competition, and on the second day, the winner will get to face some players from the Man Utd first team.
