Free Vegetables for the poor

A Good Samaritan today donated cartons of vegetables to the under privileged community in Sentul through our organisation HOPE worldwide. Close to 30 families brought their plastic bags to collect these vegetables which will last them for 3 to 4 days.

Many walked away with smiles on their face, as if longing for more freebies in the future. Today is the first day Hari Raya, a day where the Muslim around the world celebrate their new year, certainly these act of giving will certainly add joy to those who need most. May God bless the good hearted Samaritan for taking the initiative to help elevate many who are suffering social economically.

On Sat 27th Sept staff from Western Union spend their afternoon volunteering at the Centre of HOPE worldwide. Children from the Creative Art Program enjoy an afternoon of mentoring by fellow Western Union staff with the guidance from our Creative art teacher, Ms Yvonne Au Yong. HOPE worldwide Creative Art Program is held on every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month.

The children from the poor community, show case their talent to the guest despite their difficult life style. At the end of the event, all these children we pampered with goodie bag courtesy of Western Union.

Reading Cheer with KDU Engineering Students

On the 27th Sept, a group of Engineering students from KDU brought fun and cheer to our reading program. Students were out of themselves, dancing to nursery rhymes, cheering the kids during the games session and mentoring them during the reading session.

Sabrina, daughter of our volunteer, Sandra, mesmerized the kids with her story telling skills making the kids longing for more. At the end of the session, hats off to all these students for making our children special.
