The Creighton University's Students' visit to HOPE Worldwide KL

This is our privilege to have the Medical Students all the way from Creighton University, United States to be with HOPE Worldwide KL, from 29 May till 05 June 2010.

On 29 May 2010, the students, total of 6 of them, they are Emily, Abby, Sahar, Dusty, Randy and Geoff, came to our Sentul HOPE Centre, just to be with the kids for Reading & Art Class.

It was a truly enjoyable session, and the kids were so excited when fellowshipping with the students. We were amazed by some of kids, for being so out of themselves, and confidently sharing their craft work with the students.

Here starts the Story Telling session: Sahar & Geoff as the Narrator. Emily as Mama Bear, Dusty as Papa Bear and Randy as Baby Bear. Where's Abby then? That's right, she will be no other than Ms. Goldilock! And you know what? You got it right again, the story was "Goldilock and the three Bears"!

Ahha~! Here comes our Art Class, that our volunteer teacher today, Ms. Gabrielle was explaining what are we going to do today!

Two kids were caught by Emily as they were suppose to do the craft work, yet they were roaming around. So, Emily patiently open up the book, and tell them some little stories.

Here were the 2 hats that's quite attractive among all the craft work.

For all the Medical Students from the Creighton University, you guys had done a great job by being a good teacher, and also a good friend to the kids. The kids have had a very memorable moments with you all! Hope to see you guys again! All the best to your next journey to the next countries and to your studies as well!

The EMPOWERED! Colon Cancer Screening Campaign

On 09 May 2010, its HOPE Worldwide Kuala Lumpur first time ever working together with EMPOWERED! The Cancer Advocacy Society of Malaysia, for the Colon Cancer Screening Campaign.

This is a campaign of awareness specially organized for the poor and needy community. Colon Cancer is one of the cancer that found diagnosed among the senior citizen, age from 50 and above. Male had the higher percentage to diagnosed Colon Cancer.

EMPOWERED had actually gathered a group of professionals, such as doctors, physiotherapist and dietitian to provide useful information in educating the community on taking care their health, especially on their diet.

Overall, it was indeed a great experience, towards helping the poor and needy, in more aspects. And compliment to EMPOWERED! for organizing such meaningful campaign.
