2010 "Jom Sihat" Hands Cleanliness Lifebuoy Soap Distribution - GAMBANG, KUANTAN~!

Another of the remarkable massive outreach experience was in Gambang, Kuantan! We've been to an isolated rural community, below as some shots, as pictures spoke a thousand words!

2010 "Jom Sihat" Hands Cleanliness Lifebuoy Soap Distribution to Poor and Needy Community

In aid of "Jom Sihat" Hand Cleanliness Campaign, Lifebuoy had sponsored over 30,000 over soaps for HOPE worldwide Malaysia, for us to distribute to the poor and needy community.

Unconsciously, people do not seems to be concern on hands cleanliness. In fact, the germs in our hands can be very harmful to our health. That will bring a lot disease such as hand foot mouth, and diarrhea. This will be even critical towards young children whose immune system is not strong enough to defend the bacterias. For the poor and needy community, they even in a more critical situation. One of the influential factor is their living environment.

Thanks to Lifebuoy for creating this campaign, which is a very good platform, for us to have an eye-wide-open experience, and most importantly, to have a massive outreach program towards the poor and needy community.

Through this campaign, HOPE worldwide Malaysia had gathered volunteers all over Malaysia, to have a massive reach out to Klang Valley, Penang, Seremban, Kuantan, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.

HOPE worldwide + Adidas Sentul Children visit to Planetarium

It's a bright shining Saturday morning on 30 Oct 2010, that we have Adidas with us, to bring this group of children from Sentul to visit the Planetarium!

That was an excitement for the children! As children always want to find out more about planets: What do we have in the moon? How far is Jupiter from the earth? There's always questions to ask from curious children.

THANKS to Adidas lovely workers, who were there for the children. Being a friend of them, talking and have fun with them all along the way!

Lastly, we have McDonald's breakfast for "Brunch" meal:) Before we call it a day, Adidas brought goodies for the children, for them to bring home.

2010 MY Reading Program Nationwide - Johor Bahru, Johor! Sponsored by CIMB

On 06 November 2010, MY Reading Program had finally landed in the fourth location – Pulai, Johor Bahru. This time, we worked together with an orphanage called Persatuan Kebajikan Kalvari Johor Bahru. The children there actually facing a common problem – fear in learning English. Due to the results in English was not encouraging, so they had a perspective that English is so impossible for them. And at the same time, they had a very passive attitude in learning.

Therefore when MY Reading Program came in, the person in charge of the orphanage, Mr. Boey was very excited and had strong belief that this program will help the children to change their attitude in learning and also to raise their passion towards learning English.

The children were so excited during the games start. They were learning very fast with all the flash cards, and they completely loosen up themselves and jive in all their energy. This is time where the children learnt the most, especially on communicating to the volunteer teachers in English. And this help for the next program coming on, they will be able to enjoy throughout the program.

This round, we have a moral valued story – The Ant and The Dove. And we have this little boy coming up to play the role as an “Ant” in the story.
