HOPE worldwide Global Outreach - 'Remember the Poor'
1st May 2009 – Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur (PKHWKL), an international non-profit organization contributed a total of 1000 volunteerism hours through its network of 300 volunteers on Labour Day morning by serving and picnicking with 150 underprivileged people living in Sentul at the lawn of Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre.
Hope worldwide Kuala Lumpur volunteers, better known as “Friends of HOPE worldwide”, turned up in full force, some with their families to spend their Labour Day, a day off from work just to be with the less privileged community by organising activities for the children with clown appearance, preparing picnic and presenting gifts to the beneficiaries – all to bring hope and cheer!

However, a sad incident happen where one of the beneficiary, Mdm Ng Kow Mooi (in her 70s), is believed to have a heart attacked while on her way home after receiving the groceries. She died on the spot. HOPEww, medical staff pronounced her death at 330pm. It is such a sad moment for me as we have been helping Mdm Ng for the last 8 years. RIP Madam Ng, and we are going to miss you. Condolence to her families.
ELC International School IU (International Understanding) Day
On the 7th of Feb 09, Elc International School invited HOPEww children day to attend their IU Day where there are lots of food and games counter prepared. A total of 40 women and children attended this event and all of them were excited to be invited.
