Food Distribution by Denso Malaysia



Denso Malaysia Staff visited HOPEww on the 27th Feb to distribution gorceries to over 100 families at the Centre of HOPE in Sentul. This is part of their CSR Initiatives. Families who came are beneficiaries of HOPEww and are grateful for the food received.

However, a sad incident happen where one of the beneficiary, Mdm Ng Kow Mooi (in her 70s), is believed to have a heart attacked while on her way home after receiving the groceries. She died on the spot. HOPEww, medical staff pronounced her death at 330pm. It is such a sad moment for me as we have been helping Mdm Ng for the last 8 years. RIP Madam Ng, and we are going to miss you. Condolence to her families.

ELC International School IU (International Understanding) Day

On the 7th of Feb 09, Elc International School invited HOPEww children day to attend their IU Day where there are lots of food and games counter prepared. A total of 40 women and children attended this event and all of them were excited to be invited.

Selection process for our Food distribution beneficiaries



This year we received and overwhelming application for our food distribution support. Unfortunately we can only accept 70 families. It is really sad for us to reject some of this needy families. Overall we receive more than 200 applicants and this number are shorlisted to 130 of them for an interview session with our fellow donors who are also the evaluator for this interview. This number is futher short list to total of 70 of them.

Health Screening Cum Blood Donation at HGH Convention Centre



On the 3rd of Jan 2009, HOPE worldwide in collaboration CIMB Bank through its Community Link Project. The event was officated by Dr Nor Hanim Asidin, Director National Blook Bank, representing the Ministry of Health. The event is to promote a healthy life style for people living in Sentul, with the theme "My Healthy Body". At the this health event, vistor are given free health check ranging from BMI, Blood Presure, Blood sugar and later were given free consultation by HOPE worldwide Doctor. Over 150 visitor came to the health screening despite raining heavily the whole morning.
The children were enjoying a time of DIY Art and craft hosted by Noble creation. A total of 50 children participated in this art and craft session while their parent were either donating blood or doing the health screening. HOPE worldwide volunteers also held a healthy food demo for the visitor.

A total of 46 visitor donated their blood at the event supported by the UH Blood Bank. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our other sponsor for that event, VICO Chocolate drink, Yakult Malaysia, HGH Convention Centre and Okamizu.

Early Chinese New Year by Mary Kays


Chinese New Year is may just be a week away but Mary Kays, a leading Cosmetic international Company usher in the Chinese New Year mood when they donated goodies & Ang Pow when they visited the beneficiaries of HOPE worldwide on the 17th Jan 2009.
All 70 benefiaries received their Chinese New Year goodies which include mandrin orange, cookies, rice & milo from the magement staff headed by thier GM, Mr Mike Strong. Their children enjoy a morning session of art and craft where later each of the children receive an ang pow.

Mr Mike Strong, also visited 3 families, namely Mdm Thanaletchumi, Pn Zairina and Mdm Ng Kow Mooi where each of the family also received the goodies sponsored by Mary Kays. I want to take this opportunity to thank Mr Mike Strong and your team for hosting thie auspicious event for our beneficiaries

School Sponsorship Benefit 94 underprivilege children


On the 3rd of Jan 2009, HOPE worldwide together with Hong Leong Foundation and Mydin Hypermarket brought cheer to 94 children when each children were given a sponsorship to shop for their school needs at Mydin Hypermarket USJ. Many of this children would not have money to even by their school needs and as a result some have to resolve leaving school at a tender age to work for a living. We are very grateful to see the smiles in all the children and their mothers.


After shopping, all the children were treated with a sumptous dinner before heading home to Sentul. We would like to extend our heartful thanks to Hong Leong Foundation and Mydin, not forgetting the faithful volunteers of HOPE worldwide for making the difference in the lives of these children.

New York Harlem Singers Concert in Genting




Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE worldwide KL has successfully organised charity Concert in Genting Arena of Star on the 24th Dec 2008. Despite many challenges, we pull through an awesome concert with International Standard. The Amazing thing about this concert is that the concert was a 100% volunteerism effort.
